Elm logs from storm

Windblown Oak
Woodland Origins
Sourcing and material stability.
English Oak
Cut and sourced from our own Suffolk woodland, our English Oak is air-dried for several years. This patient seasoning produces exceptionally stable timber, ensuring the longevity of our handcrafted markers.
Sweet Chestnut
Naturally durable and resistant to decay, our local Sweet Chestnut offers a beautiful, warm tone. Each piece is seasoned to perfection before being machined with CNC precision for custom signage projects.
Hardwood Elm
Valued for its density and interlocking grain, our Elm is primarily used for artisan chopping boards. Hand-finished with food-safe beeswax, it reveals deep textural movement and enduring strength.

The Managed Woodland
The foundation of Willys Timber lies within our own small woodland in Suffolk. Here, we selectively harvest English Oak, Sweet Chestnut, and Elm, managing the forest with an artisan's respect for natural cycles. Each log is sourced with care and stored for several years to air dry, allowing the fibers to reach a state of perfect stability. This patient process ensures that every sign and chopping board we machine begins its life as a piece of resilient, time-honored timber.
